We are all devastated at the postponement of @imsouthafrica Durban 70.3 - however we fully understand and support the decisions made in light of the devastation that the weather has brought to KZN.

Well done to all our MSM'ers who took part in the gruelling Duathlon champs last weekend at Killarney Race Track. 
 
We were undoubtedly the most represented club and at the same time took numerous podium positions πŸ₯‡πŸ₯ˆπŸ₯‰ 
 
Congratulations to all our podium stars ⭐️
@walkerbayoutdoor #Triathlon (turned Duathlon) saw @walkerbayoutdoor #Triathlon (turned Duathlon) saw quite a number of our athletes hitting the rev limits. 
 
What should have been a sprint triathlon  turned into a Duathlon  after the swim was cancelled due to strong currents at the swim exit. (5.4km run, 24km bike, 3.8km run).
 
Some athletes were happy about it, others upset about it but overall everyone was extremely excited just to compete.
 
The weather was perfect with little to no wind, a calm autumn morning with just enough chill in the air to keep you somewhat cool for the majority of the race.

Last Saturday some of our members took part in the inaugural Walker Bay Half Marathon which now forms part of the @walkerbayoutdoor weekend. 
 
Well done to @nicol_muller_tri for coming 4th lady overall and to all the PB's that were #run by our other athletes.
 
While the runners were hitting the tarmac, Iain took in the 40km MTB race also forming part of the wonderful jam packed weekend of events.

Congratulations to @karendkw for taking on the 62k Congratulations to @karendkw for taking on the 62km trail race @ultratraildrakensberg this past weekend.
 
It is known as one of South Africa’s most iconic hiking trails while completely in a World Heritage Site, all against the backdrop of the majestic Drakensberg mountains.

Congratulations to Graeme, @levern0 & @yolandi_trx and their fellow @embarktri team on a successful Robben Island crossing yesterday. 
 
3 months and many hours of swimming hours later you crossed the ocean in true champion style facing tremendously cold water temperatures ranging from 12.5 degrees at Robben Island quickly plummeting to below 11 degrees within 1/2 hour. 
 
Thanks to @bigbayevents for always getting our swimmers across safely.

Just 1 week to go before another Robben Island Crossing 🌊 
 
12 weeks later and many kilometres of swimming in prep for this adventure across the ocean. @yolandi_trx and Graeme will be doing their 2nd crossing while Werner will be taking on his first crossing (and in skins).
 
We wish our MSM'ers and their fellow team mates the best of luck in the last few days of training and for the most spectacular conditions to come their way.
It's not the mountain we conquer, but ourselves πŸ’ž
 
Wet & wild! The only way to describe @imsouthafrica this weekend. And to top it off, a cancelled swim. Never great but thankful to the officials for always looking out for our athletes safety. 
 
Well done to all our MSM'ers who braved the completely rained out event which only in the afternoon cleared up and warmed up. 
 
From first time full IM athletes to 70.3 athletes scouting out the new event we had them all out there. 
 
A medal well deserved as well as a few days of rest!
